REQUIREMENTS FOR BEGINNERS IN THE ONLINE BUSINESS ESPECIALLY BLOGGERS.

Despite all the ways available online for income generation most people in Nigeria prefer blogging because it offers a steady and more reliable income through advert agents and other means but as i mentioned earlier in our previous post that blogging requires some equipment and these equipment may vary from country to another depending on the level of development in that country.

A blogger in Nigeria may requires the following:

A LAPTOP AND DESKTOP

Due to the commitment required i9n blogging a blogger needs a strong laptop and desktop for typing of information, storage and backup of the blogs, internet access and for publishing of the contents. Hence, a laptop with a very high range of RAM (RANDOM ACCESS MEMORY), large hard disk space (about 500GB and above), the laptops processors must be checked by a professional before purchasing it.

AN EXTERNAL LAPTOP BATTERY

If you are living in Nigeria then you need an external battery also known as inverter for storing an electric currents in the form of DC to last for about six hours or more. The reason is because most period that Nigerian cities have steady light are between three to six hours interval, before another electric supply would come it could take up to four or more hours, so you need an inverter to sustain the laptop for the period of time the electric supply is not available.

AN ELECTRIC GENERATOR

Generators may be costly in Nigeria but one could get affordable types the cost should be about N15000 to N120, 000 ranging from the smallest as well as the cheapest to the largest and costly types respectively. Sometimes the power supply of the area may be down due to faults in the distribution lines and other causes and this could make it impossible for the website to be updated after the inverter has finished discharging its stored electric currents so the generator will be needed to charge the inverter as well update the website.

A MODEM

Modem is a device for browsing through the computer, it has a USB port for connectivity with the computer and at its back it has a subscriber’s identification modules card (SIMCARD) port for telecommunications browsing networks this enables the computer to access the internet through the browsing network available in the SIMCARD. Hence, a blogger needs a modem for the computer to access the website.

A HOTSPOT DEVICE OR PHONE

The modern method computers use in accessing the internet is through hotspots, this hotspots connects to the computer through a means called WI-FI such that no port or cord is needed to connect the browsing network of the hotspot to the computer. Hotspot comes with most modern android phones, and some telecommunication companies provides devices that are specifically to provide hotspot services to computers and phones with WI-FI connections. Every blogger needs this device in the case of any fault coming from modem or if the modem is not available.

ACCESS TO LIBRARY AND PROFESSIONAL WEBSITES

Every blogger needs information in order to stay on top and share to others and major places to source for good contents is in the library and by visiting professionals either through website contacts or direct contact or visiting of the professional, this will help you to be equipped in terms of creating your contents with the information obtained, so a serious blogger should make a provision for content creation that is reliable or useful to the followers and visitors.

TIME AND COMMITMENT

Beside the equipment blogging is time consuming especially the process of generating articles that are reliable and useful, the publication, editing, etc. are all time consuming, therefore a blogger needs to spend at least six hours per day in creating and posting of articles online for such successful easily. At least two publication per day is a go.
